Zhang Aiping

Zhang Aiping was a distinguished military leader in the New Fourth Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War, who also pursued his passion for photography. He documented key events and battles with a Leica camera, producing thousands of photographs that captured the heroic efforts of Chinese soldiers and civilians. His images not only served as historical records but also inspired national pride and resilience among the Chinese populace during a time of great adversity.
