Zhang Meixiang

Zhang Meixiang is a 74-year-old national-level inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Jiaozhou Maoqiang, a traditional form of theater from the Jiaodong Peninsula in Shandong, China. Recently, she has been performing classic segments of Maoqiang, captivating audiences with her expressive singing and vibrant costumes, solidifying her role as a key figure in preserving this unique art form.
