Zhuang Wenying

Zhuang Wenying is an esteemed mycologist and an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. With nearly fifty years of research experience, she has identified over 460 new fungal species across China, significantly enhancing the understanding of fungal biodiversity. Zhuang's extensive studies have culminated in three authoritative monographs on fungal genera, making her a key contributor to the field of mycology. Even in her seventies, she remains passionately dedicated to advancing the study of biological resources and the ecological roles of fungi.
