Zinaida Pashkevich

Zinaida Pashkevich is known for her efforts to commemorate her father, Alexey Markevich, who was a victim of Stalinist repression, as well as her mother Matrona, who is credited with the design of the ornament that became part of the flag of Belarus. In 2018, she sought permission to erect a monument to her father at the site of his execution.
