Zuhra Mirg'oziyeva

Zuhra Mirg'oziyeva is a member of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan, representing the 'Progressive Block' which includes the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (O'zLiDeP) and the National Revival Party. She recently presented a conceptual law project aimed at amending the existing laws governing publishing activities in Uzbekistan. Her initiative focuses on reforming the publishing sector to ensure adherence to legal, moral, and aesthetic standards in literature, while also promoting reading culture. Mirg'oziyeva highlighted the significant growth in the number of publishing houses in the country and emphasized the need for legal clarity regarding the responsibilities of chief editors to prevent the publication of harmful content.
