Zuleica Barros
Known by her stage name Zulu, Zuleica Barros is a rising star in the Cape Verdean music scene, celebrated for her innovative blend of traditional Cape Verdean sounds with jazz and Afro-diasporic influences. On April 28, she released her debut EP titled 'Briza', featuring six new tracks that showcase her artistic vision and the production talents of Hernani Almeida, a significant figure in contemporary Cape Verdean music. Zulu's work is characterized by a seamless fusion of guitar and piano elements, drawing on the rich heritage of Latin jazz and Afro-Atlantic harmonies.
