若望保祿二世
Pope John Paul II, born Karol Józef Wojtyła in 1920, served as the Pope from 1978 until his death in 2005, making him one of the longest-serving popes in history. He was the first non-Italian pope in 455 years and is known for his efforts to improve relations with other religions, particularly Judaism and Islam. His papacy was marked by a commitment to social justice, human rights, and a strong opposition to communism, which he famously played a role in undermining in Eastern Europe. He was canonized as a saint in 2014.
