Abbas Araktschi

Abbas Araktschi is an Iranian diplomat and the Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs. He has been involved in several critical negotiations concerning Iran's nuclear program and regional security issues. Recently, he was in the news for meeting with his counterpart in Oman to discuss secure passage through the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions following Iranian attacks on shipping vessels and retaliatory strikes by the United States.
