Abbas Jasim Al-Dashour

Abbas Jasim Al-Dashour is the Sheikh of the Al-Abid tribe, one of the largest tribes in the Wasit province of Iraq. He has recently been in the news for leading the opposition against the privatization of the electricity sector in the city of Kut, advocating for the rights of local citizens against what he describes as an unjust contract with a private company.
