Abdallah ag Lamida is a guitarist from the band Tinariwen who has faced dire consequences due to the rise of extremist violence in Mali. He was reportedly kidnapped for weeks after he attempted to retrieve his musical instruments in a region dominated by the jihadist group led by Ibrahim ag Gali.
