Ibrahim ag Gali is a former musician turned militant leader, known for leading one of the most dangerous Al-Qaeda affiliated groups in West Africa. Once a member of the renowned Tuareg band Tinariwen, ag Gali's trajectory shifted dramatically as he embraced radicalism, leading to his involvement in numerous violent conflicts and the establishment of a jihadist coalition in the Sahel region.
