Abdelbaki Sahraoui

Abdelbaki Sahraoui was an influential Algerian imam and co-founder of the Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), known for his moderate stance in a period of intense political turmoil in Algeria. He was assassinated on July 11, 1995, in Paris, a killing that sparked significant violence and a wave of terrorist attacks in France. His death was initially attributed to the Algerian regime, given his role in advocating for a political solution during the Algerian Civil War.
