Abou Hilmi Faraj

Abou Hilmi Faraj, a 70-year-old resident of the Deheishe refugee camp, had the honor of hosting President Habib Bourguiba during his historic visit in 1965. Faraj remembers the overwhelming pride and joy of the camp's inhabitants, who viewed Bourguiba as a hero for leading Tunisia to independence, and recalls the president's inquiries about their living conditions.
