Acelina is a 53-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico who has operated a food stand in Corona, Queens for over three decades. Despite her efforts to provide for her four American-born children and pay her taxes, she has seen a drastic decline in her daily earnings due to the anti-immigration policies of Donald Trump, which have instilled fear in the community. Once earning between $400-$500 daily, she now struggles to make even $140 on some days, all while worrying about the potential consequences of deportation for herself and her family.
