Agustín Cosovschi is a historian with a doctorate from the Universidad Nacional de General San Martín and the EHESS, focusing on the Balkans during the Cold War, particularly socialist Yugoslavia. He has conducted research stays in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. Currently, he is a researcher at the École française d’Athènes, a French state institute of history and archaeology in Greece. Cosovschi's recent work aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the historical narratives surrounding communism in Eastern Europe, challenging prevailing stereotypes and emphasizing local contexts.
