Ahmad Dalátí

Ahmad Dalátí is a Syrian politician who was appointed as the governor of Quneitra province following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad by the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in December 2024. He has been instrumental in establishing contacts with Israel to reduce tensions along the border, particularly in the context of the ongoing geopolitical instability in the region. Recently, he was also assigned responsibility for security in the province of Suwayda, which is home to the Druze community, reflecting his significant role in the evolving political landscape of Syria and its relations with Israel.
