Aimé Joseph Kimararungu

Bishop Aimé Joseph Kimararungu, an Anglican bishop from Gitega province, has a background in the judiciary where he served as a magistrate for five years. Known for his sociable and calm demeanor, he has contributed significantly to his community and has remained untainted by the country's turmoil. Recently elected as vice-president of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CVC), he aims to facilitate healing and truth-telling among the victims of Burundi's troubled history, focusing on pastoral support and trauma recovery.
