Áine Balfe

Áine Balfe is a dedicated music teacher from Co Louth, currently working at St Patrick’s Cathedral Grammar School in Dublin. Alongside her husband Daniel, she endures a demanding daily commute, spending up to four hours and €150 each week traveling between their home in Ardee and the city. Balfe has been teaching in Dublin for 11 years, witnessing a significant increase in traffic congestion that has extended their commute time from 1 hour and 15 minutes to over 2 hours. Despite the challenges, she remains passionate about her work and committed to her students.
