Daniel Balfe

Daniel Balfe is a post-primary teacher in Dublin who, along with his wife Áine, faces a grueling commute of up to four hours a day from their home in Ardee, Co Louth. Teaching in the city for over a decade, he has experienced the worsening traffic conditions that have made their journey increasingly arduous, often taking more than two hours on the M1 motorway. Balfe is dedicated to his profession and values the supportive environment in his school, despite the challenges posed by high commuting costs and congestion.
