al-Kashi

al-Kashi, also known as Ghiyath al-Din al-Kashi, was a renowned mathematician and astronomer in the 15th century, recognized for his pioneering work in mathematics, particularly in the development of decimal fractions. His contributions, including the accurate calculation of pi, were instrumental in the mathematical advancements at the Ulugh Beg Observatory in Samarkand.
