Ulugh Beg

Ulugh Beg was a 15th-century Timurid ruler, astronomer, and mathematician, known for establishing one of the most advanced astronomical observatories in the medieval world in Samarkand. His contributions to science included accurate measurements of celestial bodies and the promotion of education in mathematics and astronomy through the prestigious Madrasa that bears his name, reflecting his belief in the pursuit of knowledge.
