Alec Hughes

Alec Hughes is a Peruvian sailor embarking on a nearly year-long journey around the world aboard his sailboat Manu, inspired by the ancient maritime traditions of pre-Hispanic Peru. The grandson of the first Uruguayan to cross the Atlantic, Hughes aims to gather historical evidence of the notable maritime expeditions of Inca Túpac Yupanqui, promoting Peruvian maritime culture and documenting his adventures through a documentary and his published work 'Atando cabos'.
