Aleksei Rünk
Aleksei Rünk was one of the early martyrs of the Republic of Estonia, born 105 years ago. He was part of a group sent to represent Estonia abroad in 1918 but was subsequently executed by German soldiers in Helsinki, with his legacy commemorated as part of Estonia's turbulent fight for independence.
