Arnold Jürgens

Arnold Jürgens was one of the first martyrs of the Republic of Estonia, born 105 years ago. He was sent abroad in March 1918 to promote the newly established Estonian state but tragically went missing during the journey. Official investigations reveal that he was executed by German forces on April 13, 1918, in Helsinki and later buried in a mass grave.
