Aleksey Vladimirovich Yerxov

Aleksey Vladimirovich Yerxov has been appointed as the new Russian ambassador to Uzbekistan, succeeding Oleg Malginov, after serving as the Russian ambassador to Turkey since 2017. Born in 1960, Yerxov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and has a long-standing career in diplomacy, having worked in various roles in Morocco, Egypt, Israel, and Syria. His experience includes serving as the consul general in Istanbul and leading the Situational and Crisis Center at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
