Aleksey Vladimirovich Yerxov has been appointed as the new Russian ambassador to Uzbekistan, succeeding Oleg Malginov, after serving as the Russian ambassador to Turkey since 2017. His experience includes serving as the consul general in Istanbul and leading the Situational and Crisis Center at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
