Alexander Adabashyan

Alexander Adabashyan is a renowned Russian screenwriter, director, and actor, celebrated for his significant contributions to the film industry over several decades. Born on August 10, 1945, in Moscow, he began his artistic journey at the Moscow Higher Art and Industry School. Adabashyan gained recognition for his collaborations with famous filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov, serving as a production designer and screenwriter on several acclaimed films, including 'Svoi Sredi Chuzhikh' and 'Rab Lyubvi.' He has also appeared in over 40 roles in various films and television series, showcasing his versatility as an actor. In addition to his film work, Adabashyan has made notable contributions to opera, directing productions at prestigious venues such as the Mariinsky Theatre and La Scala. His artistic achievements were recently acknowledged by President Vladimir Putin, who congratulated him on his 80th birthday and awarded him the Order of Honor for his contributions to culture and the arts.
