Alexander Suvorov

Alexander Suvorov was a prominent Russian military leader and strategist, renowned for his victories in numerous battles during the 18th century. Born in 1729, he is most notable for his campaigns against the Ottoman Empire and during the Russo-Turkish Wars, where his unorthodox tactics and emphasis on mobility and surprise led to extraordinary successes. Suvorov never lost a battle in his long military career, earning him a legendary status in Russian history. He was also instrumental in the construction of several fortifications, including the Kymenlinna Fortress in Finland, which was built under his orders in the early 1790s.
