Alexandre de Beauharnais

Alexandre de Beauharnais, born in 1760, was a French aristocrat and the first husband of Josephine de Beauharnais. As a general in the French Revolutionary Army, he played a significant role during a turbulent time in France's history. His marriage to Josephine resulted in two children, and he was the father-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte. Alexandre's commitment to the revolutionary ideals ultimately led to his execution during the Reign of Terror in 1794, marking a tragic end to his life.
