Hortense de Beauharnais
Hortense de Beauharnais, born on April 10, 1783, was the daughter of Josephine de Beauharnais and the stepdaughter of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. A prominent figure in French society, she became the Duchess of Saint-Leu and was known for her artistic talents and her influence in the cultural circles of her time. Her marriage to Louis Bonaparte produced Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, who would later become Napoleon III. Hortense's life was marked by the political upheavals of the Napoleonic era and her close connections to the Bonaparte family.
