Alexandre Farto
Alexandre Farto, known as Vhils, is a Portuguese street artist born in 1987 in Seixal. He gained recognition for his distinctive technique of creating portraits by carving into walls and other surfaces, transforming urban environments into powerful narratives of identity, memory, and urban transformation. Vhils has showcased his work internationally, with notable projects in countries such as Thailand, the United States, and Brazil. His retrospective exhibition, 'Strata', is currently being held at the MUCA museum in Munich, marking his first solo show in Germany, featuring works that span his artistic career from 2005 to 2025.
