Alfredo Javier Díaz

Alfredo Javier Díaz was a Venezuelan politician and former governor of Nueva Esparta, known for his opposition to Nicolás Maduro's regime. He was arrested in 2024 after publicly questioning the legitimacy of the presidential elections and was held in El Helicoide, a notorious detention center, under harsh conditions.
