Alireza Avani is the CEO of the Tehran Gas Company, known for his role in addressing gas consumption issues in Tehran. Recently, he highlighted the excessive gas usage by affluent households, particularly in the upscale neighborhood of Zafaranieh, where one household reportedly consumed 33,000 cubic meters of gas in a month. This figure starkly contrasts with the average monthly consumption of a typical household, which is around 300 to 400 cubic meters.
