Amelia Mantilla

Amelia Mantilla is a distinguished Colombian jurist and former president of the Superior Judiciary Council. She is the widow of Emiro Sandoval, an ex-magistrate who also perished in the 1985 Palace of Justice siege. Mantilla has been vocal about the need for accountability from both sides involved in the conflict, lamenting the lack of dialogue and the consequences of the violent responses that characterized the events of that day.
