Ananta Shakya

Ananta Shakya is the father of Aryatara Shakya, a 2-year-old girl recently chosen to be the new Kumari, or living goddess, of Nepal. He believes that signs of Aryatara's special destiny were evident even before her birth, as his wife had a dream indicating that their daughter would become a divine figure. Ananta's family will experience a rise in social status due to Aryatara's role, yet they also face the complexities and challenges associated with the Kumari tradition.
