Andor Simon is a psychiatrist and former junior tennis champion from Basel, Switzerland. He was the Swiss champion in his age group and notably defeated a young Boris Becker during his youth. Due to knee problems, Simon transitioned from aspiring tennis professional to a career in psychiatry, where he has spent 34 years specializing in adolescent mental health. He serves as the medical director of a specialized clinic for youth in the Baselland region. In addition to his psychiatric work, Simon has cultivated a unique intersection of tennis and psychology, interviewing numerous top players about self-worth and the mental state known as 'flow' in tennis.
