Andriy Antonenko

Andriy Antonenko is a Ukrainian military officer who was recently sentenced to 28 years in prison by a Russian court for alleged acts of terrorism, including the mining of railways and oil depots within Russian territory. During his trial, he insisted that he was merely following orders to defend his country and expressed sorrow for the loss of his comrades in the conflict. He is also notable for reciting a poem by Ukrainian poet Pavlo Tychyna during his court appearance.
