Andriy Slyusarchuk
Andriy Slyusarchuk, often referred to as 'Doctor Pi', is a controversial figure in Ukraine known for falsely claiming to be a neurosurgeon and for his involvement in illegal medical practices that resulted in patient deaths. He gained notoriety in the 2000s for purportedly memorizing an extraordinary number of digits of pi, which led to his nickname. Despite being appointed by then-President Viktor Yushchenko to lead a brain institute, investigations revealed his educational credentials were fabricated. He was convicted in 2014 for illegal medical activities and manslaughter but was later acquitted in 2024.
