Anisa
Anisa is a dedicated midwife working in Badakhshan province, Afghanistan, where she provides essential medical care to pregnant women in a region with the highest maternal mortality rate in Asia. Despite facing numerous challenges, including difficult terrain and cultural barriers, Anisa remains committed to her role, often traveling long distances to assist women during childbirth and offering not only medical support but also emotional guidance. Her work is critical in a context where access to healthcare is severely limited, especially for women.
