Antonio González Balcarce

Antonio González Balcarce was a prominent military leader during the early stages of the Bolivian War of Independence. He is best known for commanding the patriot forces during the Battle of Suipacha on November 7, 1810, which marked the first significant victory against the royalist troops. His strategic ingenuity in executing an ambush led to a decisive defeat for the royalists, paving the way for further advancements in the independence movement in the Alto Perú.
