António Manuel ne Vunda, known as 'Negrita,' was a historic figure as the first African ambassador from the Kingdom of Congo to visit Rome. His journey spanned four years, culminating in his meeting with Pope Paul V, though he sadly died shortly thereafter and is commemorated with a monument in Santa Maria Maggiore.
