
Scipione Borghese
Scipione Borghese (1577–1633) was a prominent cardinal and art collector, noted for his role in the papal court of his uncle, Pope Paul V. He was instrumental in the acquisition of numerous artworks, some controversially seized from artists, and he was a key figure in the promotion of Baroque art in Rome.
