Anya Dereka

Anya Dereka is a courageous seven-year-old girl who suffered severe burns after a helicopter crash in Brovary, Ukraine, in January 2023. At the time of the tragedy, she was just five years old and was being taken to kindergarten by her father. Anya has undergone numerous surgeries, including skin grafts and laser treatments, in her journey to recovery, which has included treatment in Austria and the USA. Now back in Lviv, she is continuing her rehabilitation and has resumed a normal childhood, participating in various activities like sand animation and drawing.
