Aristide Briand a fost un politician francez de frunte, care a servit ca premier al Franței de 11 ori între 1906 și 1932. Cunoscut pentru eforturile sale de promovare a păcii în Europa, Briand a fost un susținător al cooperării internaționale și a jucat un rol crucial în semnarea Pactului Briand-Kellogg. A murit pe 7 martie 1932, la Paris, după o carieră politică remarcabilă.
