Aset Irgaliev

Aset Irgaliev, born on June 18, 1986, in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, is a prominent economist and government official. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in public policy economics from KIMEP University and holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in economics from the University of London. Irgaliev began his career at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and has held various significant positions, including Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Deputy Minister of National Economy. He became Kazakhstan's youngest minister when he was appointed Minister of National Economy in January 2021. After serving as the head of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, he was recently appointed again to this position, reflecting his significant role in shaping Kazakhstan's economic policies.
