Atâullah Ahmed

Atâullah Ahmed, also known as Atâ Bey Tayyar Efendi, was a notable Ottoman historian born in 1801 in Istanbul. He is best known for his extensive five-volume history, which utilized rare sources to provide valuable insights into the Ottoman Empire's past. Although he held various administrative positions, including governor of several provinces, his historical writings have earned him lasting recognition beyond his public service.
