Atheel al-Najafi
Atheel al-Najafi is an Iraqi politician and former governor of Nineveh who has been vocal about the injustices faced by the residents of his province in relation to accusations of affiliation with ISIS. Recently, he highlighted the findings of an official security audit that revealed 96% of Nineveh's residents are innocent of any association with the terrorist organization, criticizing the timing and manner in which these truths were communicated to the public.
