Avis Jones

Avis Jones, 83, is a retired farmer from Jamaica who, along with her husband Mervin, has experienced the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa. Having lost their concrete home and their livelihood, she now resides with their daughter in Avon Park. Despite her struggles, she remains supportive of her husband, sharing quiet moments on the verandah as they wait for the promised recovery aid that has not yet reached them.
