Azar Yusifov
Azar Yusifov, a 40-year-old from Azerbaijan, fled his home country due to political persecution and spent years living in Turkey before attempting to seek asylum in the United States. In February 2023, he and his family were forcibly deported by the Trump administration to Costa Rica, where they faced challenges in adapting to their new environment while awaiting a resolution to their immigration status. Despite receiving temporary support from a local Quaker community, Azar expresses a strong desire to work and provide for his family.
