
Baiazid
Baiazid I, known as 'the Thunderbolt', was an Ottoman Sultan who reigned from 1389 to 1402. He is famous for his rapid military conquests in the Balkans and his aggressive campaigns against the Byzantine Empire and neighboring states, including Wallachia. His rule is marked by significant territorial expansion and notable battles, including the defeat of Mircea the Elder at the Battle of Rovine in 1395.
