Benito Moreno

Benito Moreno was a revered Venezuelan educator and environmentalist, known for transforming science education into an engaging and joyful experience. Born in La Mucuy Baja, Mérida, he dedicated his life to teaching and inspiring students across Venezuela and even internationally. As a co-founder of the Centers for Science, Technology, and Environmental Education (CCTEA), he fostered a love for nature and learning among countless young minds. His impactful approach combined humor, poetry, and hands-on experiences, making him a beloved figure in education. Celebrated for his eco-conscious philosophy, he passed away shortly before his 100th birthday, which coincided with the World Water Day, a testament to his lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship.
